Moriticia.

The original 1960's television of Charles Addams' featured actress Carolyn Jones as the vamp matriach of the family, Morticia Addams. Her name, being a play on the french work for death, mort, she is never seen in anything other than her signature waist-length black hair, fitted gothic-style dresses and long red talons for nails. As a child of the 90s, I was more familiar with Anjelica Huston embodying the role of Morticia in the feature film version based on the original cartoon first published in The New Yorker. Now, this is not a post comparing the two acresses and weighing their portrayals of the same character against each other. As far as I'm concerned, they both went above and beyond, doing Morticia Addams justice - both in the film and TV show. Rather, this post is merely a tiny homage to one of the greatest fictional female characters I've ever come across.
